This one is a bit of a blank to be honest. This is my 27th birthday night. Imagine your birthday night out when your running one of the biggest clubs in the country, its going to be messy. I had booked all my fave's for this night all the ingredients were in place for a classic. However it didn't work out quite as planned.
Mark & Adrian Luv-Dup were due to play along with John Mcready. They were all coming down with a van full of loons from Manchester via Birmingham but things went a little wrong. I was doing the first hour as usual and no-one came to take over, i just kept playing & playing & playing ! No sign of Luv-Dup, no Mr Mcready, just me and way too much MDMA in my pocket. I just kept doing more and playing longer (4 hrs in total) and in the end Jules turned up to find the place going off massively and Dave Green actually frothing at the mouth, not pretty ! Anyway as you can hear after the first two records of this recording which are my last @ 12 midnight Jules chops my last record out to nothing and then after a big pause drops his fanfare intro and then we are off ! The rest as i said is a blank, however there are photo's that show me wrecked in the club wearing the Tomato Records Tomato Hat. After this it was all back to Duncan's where i was dreadfully behaved for quite some time. There are pics of me in cold bath (fully clothed & naked) and many more which would have had me certified at the time. Jules was with us for most of the night and was probably appalled. The weekend went on & on & on and got very messy indeed. It all ended up in a terrible state when Adrian Luv-Dup couldn't be found and the search led to a house across town in Lipson. The Salford Hire van pulled up outside the house and Manchester's Andy Moore ran up to the door and rang the bell.....................Without us knowing there had been a two day bender going on at this house also, well until the landlord turned up and threw everyone out of the house in disgust. It was the poor landlord that opened the door to find a very wasted Andy Moore pointing a plastic revolver at his face and demanding they hand Adrian Luv- Dup over or there would be a shooting. Even though the gun was plastic and didn't even have the revolving chamber left the poor guy heard the accent saw the gun and absolutely shat himself. It was probably really scary but to us in the van it was priceless and quite unbelievable to watch especially as the van had Salford written all over it. I paid John Mcready as it wasn't his fault he didn't make it to play, plus i'd called him names over the mic while wasted and felt awful afterwards. I also paid Luv-Dup even though they didn't play, something Jules thought i was mad to do . However the van was hired the gang turned up and madness ensued and the money i gave them would have just covered it ! For me its a classic night with classic memories ! I honestly cannot believe we are all still alive. I'll be playing tunes for the next Luv-Dup Boat Party in Manchester on 22nd May, God help me !

Ha ha - this will go down in the books as one of the messiest ever nights - I remember Brummie Andy puking outside the house due to some very dodgy rrecreationals and then bounding up the steps and pushing the 2 people at the door out of the way to find out that they were police (or was that another night??)

Dave, Massive memories flowing back on this one as it was my house in Lipson, when I was living with Jenksy. We had a sauna upstairs with a load of pillheads queuing up to \'feel the rush!\'. Good ole\' Jenksy managed to sweet talk to landlord a treat, as this was our first weekend at the house, before we had signed our contract - hilarious!!!  - 4 months ago
