More gems from the vaults here as we are treated to a great set from London legend Roy the Roach. Always a joy to have down Roy used to scare me to death with his Formula 1 style gig traveling. This would usually start with him calling me from London just as he was leaving (always lots less than three hours before he was due to play and its a four hour drive for most) Thanks to the first radar scanner i had ever seen he always made it on time and i presume thanks to his driving skills he always made it safe too, in his highly modified Golf GTI. Always known for his beaming smile as well as his sublime tunes (and of course weed) Roy played for us often and was always great fun. However put him in a room at this time with great friends Judge Jules & John Kelly it was light the touch paper and run for cover ! Roy recently told me we had all lived through "never to be repeated times" back in the early nineties and i agree wholeheartedly. I've always said we all had way more fun than we were ever entitled to. Anyway get ready for vocal house masterclass as Roy the Roach treats us all to a blinding end of night set in The Warehouse. There's no date on this tape but i am sure it was 1993. Oh and by the way the MC here tonight is none other than Matt "Spenny" Spence in his MC Spy incarnation. Cheers Matt cant wait to catch up with you and nicky at the big Weekender.
