Another blast from the past here as London's Drum Club founder & resident spinner Charlie Hall takes to the decks for his first Cultural Vibes in March 1993. As warm up Dj Richie "Bing Bong" Rundle (The Dub Chill Pioneer) recently informed me its only 1 hour long due to the fact we forgot the clocks went back on this night and we had to close early !! A mistake we didn't make again. Just shows you how little i knew about running a club at this point as we had only been going for 5 months. This was a big fave night for all who were there as the overhead net really suited the trippy nature of the nights music adding to the atmosphere. Richie and Phil jubb slammed the warm up and the whole night was a lose the plot situation. I will be posting a lot of pics with the net up soon and also have a full video of Vibes under the net. The film clearly shows just how effective it really was.
