Another classic from the vaults here as Cultural Vibes plays host to the 2nd visit from San Francisco legend and all round top guy John Howard. This was a warm up set for John Kelly and the mix contains so many firsts for me. The Warehouse on this night was a 2000+ sellout and I am absolutely certain this was the first time any of us had heard the monster that was ''The Bomb" by Bucketheads. A month after this night i went to New York with Ashley Beedle and Kelvin Andrews and we all bought our copies of 'The Bomb" in Dance Tracks and came home with a tune that destroyed all clubs period ! We were the first Dj's i knew in the UK with it and it was very handy indeed. To make things even better we also all came home with a certain other tune called "Higher State of Consciousness" by Wink and that became the biggest tune of 95. This mix was also the first time i heard Richie Hawtin's insane mix of Le Funk Mob & also The Sandals tune "Feet" a tune John left me with afterwards and a Dave Green classic to this day.
This is another of my very favourite Vibes mixes and i know John Howard has been waiting for a copy of this for ages. Cheers John and please come back to the UK for the next Vibes bash !
